Download xVM Server

xVM Server will soon be available for download as a product binary as well as a bundle of open source code. The code we have released so far constitutes the management layer and UI of xVM Server. There are two other major components that are used to create a working xVM Server. The first is the OpenSolaris operating system which provides the hypervisor layer and a functioning dom0. The second is the code that turns OpenSolaris into an appliance.

The OpenSolaris piece is already open source and you can learn more and participate at http://opensolaris.org/os. In particular you may want to get involved with the OpenSolaris Xen community at http://opensolaris.org/os/community/xen.

The appliance code has not yet been vetted or prepared for open source. We are working on that for future releases.

Note: After you download the current bundle file, you'll need to uncompress and untar it to read the contents. You can also browse the early releases of open source code on-line at the xVM Server project community site.
